Welcome to Burbank

So I've been going to the Make-Up Designory (MUD) for about three weeks now, and I think I'm about ready to post.  I've learned a lot so far.  I've learned the importance of primer in cream foundation, how to make lips look bigger and happier, and what if feels like to have your face mauled every day.  (The first week my skin was really dry and red, but after I put eczema cream on it and started using primer in my foundation it healed.)  In class we've tried different looks like Skin Care Ad, Beach Look, Pin-Up, Marylin Monroe, and Victorias Secret.  The pictures I put on here are of me and my models.  We're paired with partners, so my models did my make-up.  The Marylin one is of my whole class.

Next week we're learning how to airbrush, so tune in next time for me with a tan (scary!).

  2. Have you been doing the hair in the pictures too, or just the make-up? You did a great job on the Victoria Secret make-up--I think that one is the best so far. (I'm referring to the pic of the other girl and the make-up you did. Wow that's confusing... especially for anyone who sees this blog and doesn't know what you look like! ) Good job.

  3. We've been doing our best to style hair. Most of us don't really know what we're doing though, since we haven't had the hair class yet. That's the next class. There's usually some sort of heads up about what we're doing the next day, so we dress for the part. For example, the day we did Pin-Up and Victorias Secret, I curled my hair and brought 2 different shirts. Also, it didn't hurt that my Victorias Secret partner has a cosmetology license (so she knows hair).
